    A brush fire is burning in the Salinas riverbed in Paso Robles, according to wildfire information apps and cameras in the area. The fire — called the Salinas fire — is north of Niblick Road near Highway 101 and is about 5 acres, according to Watch Duty. It began around 4:50 p.m., according to the app. KSBY called a Paso Robles fire department official for additional information and was told they're too busy to talk at this time.

    A power outage is affecting hundreds of residents in northern San Luis Obispo County Friday evening. According to PG&E, over 900 customers are affected by the outage, which began around 9:07 p.m.There is no official cause yet for the outage and no announced estimated restoration time. "There is an unplanned outage in your area," a message on PG&E's outage center website reads.

    Local students in San Luis Obispo had a big performance on Wednesday afternoon. After months of planning and preparing independently, young performers and production staff members at Pacheco Elementary School finally performed under bright lights and completed their rendition of "Hamilton." Twenty-eight students in all participated, with seven main actors.

    A local youth symphony celebrated a special milestone Monday. The San Luis Obispo Youth Symphony brought past and present together for its 60th anniversary Finale Concert at Cuesta College's Cultural and Performing Arts Center. The group invited alumni from previous decades to return to the stage and perform with current orchestra members. "I am the oldest of nine siblings, and we have all come through the youth symphony," said Joseph Shanks.
