John Carpenter, the horror master (our tribute), has been immortalized at last on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Carpenter’s star was unveiled in the midst of a “who’s who” of Carpenter co-stars and collaborators along with a legion of fans. Guests included Greg Nicotero, Dean Cundey, Keith David, and Kurt Russell.

She’s baaaaack! The orignal M3GAN was a huge box office success. Did you know it’s one of the Top 40 highest grossing horror films of all time? It is! So it was a given we’d get a sequel. What we are getting, though, looks like an interesting new direction for the franchise.

The new thriller, Borderline (2025), starring Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) is in select theaters and is available now to rent and own on digital platforms. It is the directorial debut from Jimmy Warden, who wrote the surprisingly funny Cocaine Bear (our review). BORDERLINE is an edge-of-your-seat thriller that follows a dangerously persistent stalker (Ray Nicholson) who invades the home of a ‘90s pop superstar (Samara Weaving) with grand delusions of a wedding.

Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) were two of the most popular characters on AMC’s The Walking Dead for years, so when the original show ended, it only made sense to spin them off into their own thing. The result: The Walking Dead: Dead City. Season 1 ran for 6 episodes in 2023 and was popular enough to get a second season greenlit. I watched Season 1 and enjoyed it, as much as I enjoyed the Daryl Dixon spinoff. What can I say? I’m a Walking Dead fan for life. Until death?
