Team Thorough YKM a political pressure group allied to the National Resistance Movement has said it want to meet President Museveni to table their grievances. John Mugisha, National coordinator of Team Through YKM, told journalists that since the 2021 elections, they have been denied access to Museveni, the NRM national chairman. "Therefore, we decided to petition him through a peaceful walk and hand him our concerns,” said Mugisha.

The construction works on the 15.6 km Mpigi-Muduuma road in Mpigi district are scheduled to kick off on April, 2025, the state minister for Greater Kampala, Kabuye Kyofatogabye has revealed. The road is set to be upgraded to standard, with a contract awarded to Zhongmei Engineering Company Ltd under the shs2.1 trillion Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area Urban Development Program (GKMA-UDP) funded by the World Bank.
