Limestone absolutely had its chances. And goalie Cory Lyons ensured throughout both overtime periods that the Saints would have even more. But not even Lyons’ 17 saves were enough to keep Limestone’s final season alive. Maryville, one of the surprise teams of 2025, eliminated the Saints in the NCAA Division II quarterfinals on Sunday on Justin Simonson’s game-winning, man-up, overtime goal.

Dickinson very nearly coughed it up. Leading by four after Luke Whalen’s man-up goal with 7:20 left in the third quarter, Dickinson then suffered from quite a dry spell. The Red Devils didn’t score again until overtime. That is, of course, the best time to score if ever in such a scenario.
