BATON ROUGE, La. — Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy, 24, was found dead in his car late Saturday night following a police chase in Houston. Authorities say he died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a weapons disturbance call around 11:15 p.m. A family member told authorities that she and Lacy had gotten into an argument, during which Lacy fired a gun into the ground.

BATON ROUGE, La. — Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy, who was facing a negligent homicide charge in connection with a deadly crash, died early Sunday morning, according to our partners at WBRZ in Baton Rouge. WBRZ’s Investigative Unit reported that sources said Lacy's death was a suspected suicide. LSU later released a statement on Lacy's death, saying: We’re saddened to learn of the tragic passing of former LSU Football student-athlete Kyren Lacy.

Authorities said Lacy was driving a vehicle that struck another car head-on along Louisiana Highway 20 late last year, killing 78-year-old Herman Hall.
