In his first ever NBA Playoff game Ty Jerome came off the bench to score 28 points and lead the Cavaliers to a 121-100 victory over the Heat in Game #1 of the best-of-7 first round series. Jerome hit 10 of 15 shots overall, 5 of 8 from three-point range to spark the Cavs to the 21 point win. Donovan Mitchell led all scorers with 30 points and his backcourt partner Darius Garland added 27. Jarrett Allen posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the “Wine and Gold”.

By doing so, Cleveland assures itself of having home court advantage in every series they play in during the Eastern Conference playoffs. Cleveland, Ohio (3-5-25)The Cavaliers rallied from 7 points down in the 4th quarter to beat the Heat in Cleveland Wednesday night 112-107. It was the Cavs 12th consecutive win and helped them become the first team in the NBA this year to clinch a playoff spot. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 26 points, Darius Garland added 15 points and 10 assists, while Evan Mobley and DeAndre Hunter scored 16 points each.
