The money comes from the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education Advancement, and Potential, or MiLEAP. Delta College said it will use the funds to directly support student success and increase degree completion by giving students assistance with food and helping to cover things like textbooks.

CARO, Mich. (WJRT)- A popular fall festival returned to mid-Michigan this weekend. The 43rd annual Tuscola County Pumpkin Festival wrapped up Sunday at the Tuscola County Fairgrounds in Caro. There were plenty of activities, including a children's bi-athalon, and the pumpkin pageant. MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (WJRT)- Residents of an apartment complex in Mount Pleasant are looking for a new place to live after their building went up in flames. The building was on the 1800 block of South Crawford Road near the campus of Central Michigan University. The city's Department of Public Safety said firefighters arrived around 4:00 P.M. Saturday afternoon to find a two-story, 16-unit building partially engulfed in flames.
