Senior outside hitters Brady Wedbush and Nate Thompson led the team with 15 and 10 kills respectively, while Wedbush also led the night in aces with six. The first set established high tensions for the night, with both teams fighting until the end.

    In a rematch against the George Mason Patriots (10–12, 2–4 EIVA), the men’s volleyball team (10–11, 4–3) failed to repeat last week’s win in a shutout loss, 3–0. Lacking their previously dominant attacking strategy, the Tigers’ service errors combined with frequently missed attacks paved the way for the Patriots’ retribution. The opening set foreshadowed George Mason’s dominance. The Tigers trailed early 7–3, and they struggled to defend against the Patriots’ forceful kills.

    In a week of Princeton upsets, men’s volleyball (10–10 overall, 4–2 EIVA) became the latest victorious Tiger underdog, defeating George Mason Patriots (9–12, 1–4 EIVA) and No. 8 Loyola Chicago Ramblers (19–4, 9–1 MIVA) in back-to-back four-setters this weekend. In a continuation of their persistent efforts earlier this season, sophomore right-side hitter Nyherowo Omene and junior outside hitter Ben Harrington led Friday night’s match against George Mason with 12 kills each.

    In a Friday night matchup in Dillon Gymnasium against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights (4–8 overall, 1–4 NEC), men’s volleyball (6–8, 2–2 EIVA) cruised to a commanding 3–0 win. The victory was the Tigers’ third consecutive win, following last weekend’s sweep of rival Harvard (5–8, 0–4). Junior outside hitter James Hartley attributed part of the team’s strong play against the Knights to the momentum that was developed in last weekend’s successes.

    The Princeton men’s volleyball team (6–8 overall, 2–2 EIVA) entered this past weekend with hopes of improving their 11–14 all-time record against the Harvard Crimson (4–8, 0–4 EIVA). On Friday and Saturday, they picked up consecutive wins over Harvard in two four-set battles. The Tigers won 3–1 on Friday night.
