Barbados Fire Service assists in rescue in Spry Street

Members of the Barbados Fire Service helped prevent tragedy, rescuing a distraught man from the roof of a bar in Spry Street. The man had been reported missing to the police from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The Fire Service Control Room received the call at 6:13 am, this morning, Friday, May 31, 2024. The response was water tender 3 from the Bridgetown Fire Station. Five fire officers responded to conduct the rescue mission as the patient was frantic and distraught.

Police responded to a report this morning that a man was on the roof of a bar in Spry Street in Bridgetown after being informed that hours prior a patient had absconded from the nearby Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Police Public Relations Officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss said on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at about 11:30 pm the Operations Control Centre received a report from ward C5 of the Hospital that a male patient absconded from the ward and institution.

Anderson Orlando Phillips is wanted by The Barbados Police Service. He is advised to come forward and turn himself in alone or accompanied by a lawyer of his choice. Anyone who is harboring the fugitive who goes by the aliases Boxer and Buffet, is warned that he or she is committing an offence and can be charged if caught and arrested. Phillips, 52 years, is wanted for questioning in connection with serious criminal matters.

She is Keisha Kerryann Brathwaite-Burke of the corner of Bynoe Road, Worthings View and Rendezvous Road in Christ ChurchThe Barbados Police Service Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in the Southern Division have charged a second individual with the murder of Parris. She appeared before the Magistrate at District C Court in Oistins, Christ Church today, Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
