INTRODUCTION The influence of school transportation on students’ academic achievement is a topic of considerable interest. Active school travel, encompassing walking and wheeling to and from school, is known to promote health and well-being, including academic performance, but unfortunately, it has seen a decline (Buliung et al., 2009; Dwyer et al., 2001; Lubans et al., 2011; McDonald et al., 2011).
