1. IntroductionAneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is a type of hemorrhagic stroke with very high morbidity and mortality [1]. The amount of bleeding in the brain and the secondary brain injury caused by the bleeding are the two most important determinants of patient outcomes after SAH. The major treatable cause of secondary neurological injury in these patient populations is delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) [1].
