Starring Allen Payne, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Bookem Woodbine among others, the film analyzed a world where family love and romantic love can often conflict. Nostalgia alone would make a stage play adaption a must watch, but having the role of Lyric being played by America’s Top Model Winner, and actress Eva Marcille helps make this a play a can’t miss.

The Jagged Edge Verzuz with 112 was one of the first battles that fans seemingly asked for. It was also one of the last battles that took place in a studio, without live performances. Award-winning playwright and producer Je’Caryous Johnson is already hard at work on his next project, even though his current project, Jason’s Lyric is still currently on tour. His next project is directed by actor, Carl Payne, who is known for starring on “Martin” and “The Cosby Show” among other things. Je’Caryous Johnson’s Games Women Play stage play originally premiered in February for a three-day run in Washington, D.C., but is set to embark on the tour in second week of May 2025.

Melissa Mercado, the NYPD detective who went viral after appearing in the music video for Hip-Hop artist S-Quire, has been removed from her role in the Special Victims Unit and reassigned. The NYPD detective’s viral twerking video has created all kinds of backlash and this is the latest fallout from the situation. After initially being sidelined from active investigations, Mercado has now been transferred to the 50th Precinct in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx.
