    MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (WJRT) - A motorcyclist died following a crash with a truck Wednesday afternoon in Mount Pleasant. The crash occurred at the intersection of Sweeney Street and Broomfield Street. According to the Mount Pleasant Department of Public Safety, a 45-year-old man driving a Chevrolet 3500 was traveling north on Sweeney Street and pulled in front of traffic while crossing Broomfield Street. The 45-year-old driver of the truck collided with the motorcycle.

    MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) - AAA will be implementing its Tow to Go program for the holiday weekend. The auto club will be activated beginning at 6 p.m. on May 23 until 6 a.m. on May 27. The service is available to anyone, regardless of whether they are AAA members. The free service is designed as a last resort for impaired or intoxicated drivers to get home with their vehicles without causing a crash. The program has completed 25,000 free tows with the program over the past 25 years.

    FENTON, Mich. (WJRT) - The Fenton community is mourning the loss of a longtime business leader and philanthropist, Gerry Willey. Willey, who was 85 years old, passed away last week. He was born and raised in Flint and joined the Marine Corps after graduating from high school. After settling in Fenton, Willey and his wife, Kay, opened Fenton Home Furnishings on Leroy Street, which has since expanded to four locations.

    SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) - The man accused of killing the traveling CNA from California has been formally charged. Court records show 30-year-old Demetrius Benjamin Williams was arraigned on multiple charges Wednesday morning, including open murder. Williams is facing enhancements for being a repeat offender. Court records indicate he was released from prison in November after being convicted of home invasion and felony firearm.
