Westrich has 33 years of experience in education. According to the engineer Ben Sandoz, the Highway 12 Litchfield to Cokato project is right on schedule. The engineer who works for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) said as of July 19, “Construction crews completed concrete repairs at Hwy. 12 and Hwy. 15, as well as the centerline culvert just east of Litchfield. Removals have started in Litchfield for ADA work,” Sandoz said. Currently, curb work and sidewalk work are being done in Litchfield, and it’s going at a good pace.

The Dassel History Center is hosting the exhibit “Water Works: Lakes, Streams, Rivers and Seas,” from now until the end of July. According to Museum director Carolyn Holje, the exhibit showcases art from Kurt and Paula Meyer’s collection. Holje said Kurt and Paula Meyer live in Edina and Iowa and have about 500 pieces of artwork. They have also visited and shared their art at the history center in the past. Last Saturday, Kurt came to the museum and talked with people about the paintings.

The Meeker County Board of Commissioners moved to award $1,340,259 to Redstone Construction for the replacement of Manannah Township Bridge 47519, which sits over 592nd Avenue.
