We start the week off with lots of sunshine, dry weather, and summer-like temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s. Our normal high this time of year is 68 degrees. A few stray showers are possible overnight with lows near 60. That's about 15 degrees above normal. Additional showers are likely Tuesday with above normal temperatures in the low too mid 70s.

Despite a lot of sunshine expected today, temperatures will be held down by a stiff northeast breeze. The water of Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron is still very chilly, so the closer you are to shore, the cooler it will be. Look for upper 40s by the water, with low to mid 50s inland.

Foggy areas lift later this morning, giving us a mix of sun and clouds the rest of the day. A north to northeast breeze will keep lakefront communities in the 40s to low 50s. Inland, we'll see lots of 60s to around 70 across the I-69 corridor, including Flint. After a chilly night in the upper 30s to low 40s, cooler weather returns behind a cold front. Thursday afternoon temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 50s, with 40s by the water, due to a northeast wind.

Temperatures won't budge a whole lot, just easing up to around 60 degrees, about 5 degrees below normal. Lakefront communities will be much cooler with low 50s pretty common, due to an onshore breeze.

Spotty showers linger today, so keep your umbrella or rain jacket handy. Look for afternoon temperatures to rise into the upper 50s to low 60s, with cooler low 50s by the water. Spotty showers are likely overnight, with a bout of steadier to heavier rain Tuesday morning. Overnight lows dip to the upper 40s to low 50s. Tuesday will be soggy in the morning with just a few afternoon showers and highs in the low 60s. Dry weather returns Wednesday through the weekend.

We'll end the work week with below normal temperatures and lots of clouds. A few sprinkles are possible throughout the day. Afternoon highs will only reach to around 60 degrees, with cooler low 50s by the water. Overnight lows are expected to drop to the low 40s. Our weekend starts off with mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Spotty showers return for Sunday and last through Tuesday. Our weekend ends with highs near 60. By mid-week, we'll dry out with milder mid to upper 60s.

Look for periods of rain today, as well as a few thunderstorms. Afternoon highs will range from the mid to upper 60s south, 50s for the Great Lakes Bay Region and 40s by the water. The wide range of temperatures will be dictated by the position of a warm front that will only make it to the base of the Thumb and southern parts of the Great Lakes Bay Region. A few showers linger through the night and into Friday with overnight lows in the mid 40s, and upper 50s to low 60s during the day.

It's a balmy start to our Tuesday. A gusty southerly breeze has kept our morning temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s. Keep in mind, low 60s are normal for our daytime high this time of year. Ahead of a cold front, there will be an opportunity for spotty showers or thunderstorms. By mid-afternoon, as the cold front sweeps through, temperatures will fall from daytime highs in the 60s north to near 80 degrees south.
