Shelbourne v Derry CityFriday 20 June, 19:45We got the home win we needed in Finland yesterday, but KTP let us down in a 5-0 defeat by not scoring. The visitors managed four shots on target against Inter Turku, but fell short. We had a winner delivered by Irish Premier champions Shelbourne on Monday, and we're returning to Damien Duff's men again today. Shels are up against Derry City, and I think the hosts can pick up back-to-back victories.

Inter Turku v KTPThursday 19 June, 16:00Our boys Pachuca competed well last night at the Club World Cup, but ultimately fell to a 2-1 defeat against Salzburg. That means we've slipped into the red this week, but we can get back on track in Finland tonight. Inter Turku have made a strong start to the league season in the top-tier Veikkausliiga, winning six and drawing four of their ten games.

PSG v BotafogoMy tip to win the Club World Cup could barely have made a better start, as PSG demolished Atletico Madrid 4-0 in their opener. That scoreline was fairly misleading in truth, as Atletico blew an amazing chance with the score at 2-0, but it was still a continuation of an incredible run of form.

Pachuca v SalzburgWednesday 18 June, 23:00Live on DAZNAlthough Borussia Dortmund's Club World Cup clash with Fluminense was as open as we expected it to be, it lacked that killer touch in the final third, and our man Serhou Guirassy was left starved of service in a 0-0 draw. We shared his frustration. We'll stick with the Club World Cup, because Pachuca are up against Salzburg, and both teams know this is their best chance to get a win in the group stage.

Fluminense v Borussia DortmundTuesday 17 June, 17:00Live on DAZNShelbourne did us proud last night, winning 1-0 at St. Pat's to give us a winning start to the week. Our next wager takes us to the searing heat of the USA, as Borussia Dortmund take on Brazilian side Fluminense in the Club World Cup. As I said in my group-by-group tournament preview, Dortmund finished the domestic season in terrific form, winning eight of their last ten games of the campaign, including the final six.

Big setback for Germany. Not good enough in the second half. Missing some big players, but had enough quality out there to do better than that. Portugal looked far more cohesive after half-time. #UEFANationsLeague

Never say never in football, but can’t see #efc managing to sign Nick Woltemade. Huge interest in him from across Europe (including Bayern), and recent indications in German media have been that he’d actually like to stay at Stuttgart for a bit longer.
