A half-billion dollar trailer accident judgment against Wabash continues to skew the company’s quarterly earnings reports—and for the better in Q1. While Wabash net sales for the first quarter of 2025 were $380.9 million, a 26.1% decrease compared to the same quarter last year, the company generated consolidated gross profit of $19 million. Operating profit amounted to $314.6 million as the company recognized a $342 million gain in connection with the reduction of the 2024 legal verdict.

March net trailer orders, at just above 21,000 units, once again defied seasonal and market expectations, coming in up nearly 70% above March last year, according to industry resarchers.
