It's no surprise to see wide receiver transfers on the pursuit list of West Virginia this summer, and the Mountaineers snagged their first addition at that position in the spring portal period with the addition of North Carolina wideout Christian Hamilton. Hamilton played two seasons at UNC, collecting 10 receptions for 188 yards and one touchdown over that period. He capped his redshirt 2023 season with three catches against WVU in the Mountaineers' win over the Tar Heels in the Duke's Mayo Bowl.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia continued on a sweep run of epic proportions on Saturday, downing Cincinnati 10-5 for its third consecutive Big 12 series sweep. It also increased WVU's sweep total to seven on the season. As has been the case a number of times this year, WVU (34-4, 13-3) ceded an early lead. This time, UC (21-18, 8-10) took advantage of an error by Brodie Kresser, which allowed Bearcat Kerrington Cross to reach first.
