The 19th annual Holmes County Rails to Trails Benefit Auction will be held Saturday, June 14, at Harvest Ridge in Millersburg. The auction features locally made furniture, quilts, tools and other items, with proceeds supporting trail maintenance and development. A shuttle service will be available from the Millersburg Depot to Harvest Ridge throughout the day. The auction aims to raise funds to complete a four-mile stretch of trail from Glenmont to state Route 520.

East Holmes Local School District held its annual staff recognition program. Carrie Jones was named Teacher of the Year and Iva Weaver was named Classified Staff of the Year. The district recognized staff members for 30, 20, and 10 years of service, as well as 10 retiring staff members. The East Holmes Local School District recognized staff members at the annual recognition program to celebrate the 2024-25 school year.

Holmes County's bicentennial celebration culminates June 7-8 with various events. The Willie Green Band's music will be revived in a special concert on June 8. Historical exhibits, a bicentennial video debut and student plays will be featured on June 7. Two days of celebrating 200 years of Holmes County will take place over the weekend of June 7-8. The Willie Green Band will come back to life thanks to the American Musical Production Company.

Nashville first-graders spent a year studying birds, starting with the American bald eagle. The class watched a live eagle cam, tracked the eaglets' growth and learned about their nesting habits. Students built and installed bluebird boxes near the school playground, observing nesting birds. The class also studied owls and participated in bird-related community projects.

A life-size replica of the Old Testament sanctuary will be on display at Harvest Ridge in Holmes County from June 28-July 6. The exhibit, sponsored by the Millersburg Seventh Day Adventist Church, is free and open to the public. The replica aims to educate visitors about the historical and religious significance of the sanctuary. The exhibit was inspired by a recent Old Testament study conducted by the church.
