The Miller family is back in major league sports. Five years after selling the Utah Jazz, the Larry H. Miller Co. has taken control of the Real Salt Lake and the Utah Royals soccer clubs in a deal worth $600 million, The Athletic reported Friday morning. New York-based private equity investor David Blitzer will transition into a minority ownership role with the clubs. But the Millers will have final decision-making power, ensuring the team will once again be controlled by a local group.

BYU fans had their hopes up. Could their star point guard come back to Provo for one more season? But Egor Demin will enter the NBA Draft this summer after seriously considering a return for his sophomore season. The possibility of playing alongside the No. 1 recruit in the country, AJ Dybantsa, and chasing the Cougars' first Final Four appearance intrigued Demin. He also liked living at BYU and playing in head coach Kevin Young's program. He once joked with Young that he could play 10 years at BYU.

As Jon Scheyer was busy remodeling Duke's program to fit Cooper Flagg's superstar specifications this summer, the head coach received an unfamiliar visitor. The two had just met through a mutual friend in the coaching industry, but Scheyer figured an extra set of eyes on the Blue Devil roster couldn't hurt. He was chasing a championship in Flagg's lone season of college hoops, and every detail mattered. The visitor? Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy.

The roster reshuffle has already started in Provo. Less than a week after the Cougars played in the Sweet 16, head coach Kevin Young's staff is busy adding and subtracting to their program for 2026. Veteran guard Dallin Hall announced he was entering the transfer portal this week. The other notable departures so far are former four-star guards Kanon Catchings and Elijah Crawford. Both were expected to leave following the end of the season - and didn't crack Young's 10-man rotation in March.
