YAKIMA, Wash. – The 2025 Earl Barden Classic is set to take place on Saturday, providing recently graduated high school football players with one last opportunity to shine on the field. Southridge Coach Matt Johnson, who played in the 2007 Earl Barden Classic, holds fond memories of the event. "It was awesome," said Johnson, reflecting on his experience. Johnson graduated from Tumwater High School in 2007 and participated in the Classic alongside his brother and future Eastern Washington teammates.
