There are just some things sports video games can’t seem to get right about the sports they try to realistically recreate. For instance, NBA 2K makes it nearly impossible to produce the kind of sloppy play and mental errors to generate the number of turnovers that you see in a typical NBA game. The NHL series can’t provide an AI opponent that doesn’t connect on an abnormally high percentage of its passes.

Since PGA Tour 2K25 was released on February 25, people have now had plenty of time to hone their skills on the course. It’s easy to imagine that you’ve fully explored the MyCareer mode and suitably dominated the AI competition with your impressive achievements in events on the tour.

As is often the case with annual sports releases, MLB The Show 25 doesn’t have a ton of what you would call “new” features. It’s natural, then, that the handful of items billed prominently as being introduced to the game for the first time are bound to receive a great deal of scrutiny. One such feature is Ambush Hitting, which can provide a hitter with an advantage for guessing the location of a pitch correctly.

In response to overwhelming feedback from the community that eventually became impossible to ignore, online matchmaking in PGA Tour 2K25 has seen some big changes. The most obvious and impactful one you’ll find is that you can no longer use the 3-click method of hitting shots. Instead, everyone must learn how to wield the shot stick to get your ball from tee to cup.

Faced with the hypothetical dream-come-true scenario in which every team in the league is vying for your team-building expertise, it’s worth weighing all of the variables.
