Tim Gartland has an incredibly deep, bass tone to his voice. Not quite the "voice of God," but Gartland's voice has a quality that instantly grabs the listener and that makes every line rich with gravitas. So when he sings about losing his job and his woman on "Waste a Worry" the frustration is palpable; you can almost feel his heart breaking.

Lineup changes are something to be expected from bands that have been around for a long time. When it comes to L.A. Guns, who've been around in one form or another since 1983, there have been so many lineup changes that you need the proverbial scorecard to keep it all straight. There have been versions without guitarist and namesake Tracii Guns and at one point there were two different iterations of L.A. Guns in operation at the same time.

It's been nearly two decades since Finnish band Lordi was catapulted to fame after winning the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with "Hard Rock Hallelujah." The hit really endeared the group, who on stage dress as monsters, to their fans in Europe while also giving hard rock and metal fans in America a chance to get familiar with them and soon their fan base was burgeoning.

by Kevin Wierzbicki If there were such a thing as a soundtrack to a midnight visit to a practitioner of voodoo it would sound exactly like opening cut "Gris-Gris Gumbo Ya Ya." A sort of introduction to the funky, often ominous music of the "Night Tripper," the cut is slow boiling and although it is only of the sonic kind, does indeed cast a spell on the listener.
