Photo by Julio Aguilar/Getty Images CBSSports | R.J. Anderson: In the least surprising development of the young season, MLB announced Friday that Jazz Chisholm Jr. is facing a one-game suspension, pending appeal. The Yankee second baseman exploded Thursday night after a... questionable... called third strike by home plate umpire John Bacon. After Chisholm’s inevitable ejection, he expressed his discontent on X/Twitter before deleting the post.

Another day, another matchup with Texas. One day after Tino Martinez’s triple was the key hit in a Yankees win, another Bronx Bomber came through with a three-bagger of his own to seal a New York victory. If you’re anything like me, you’ll finish the article both smarter and more confused.

Charles LeClaire-Imagn Images Saturday afternoon’s game perhaps perfectly encapsulates what makes Marcus Stroman so incredibly irritating to watch pitch at times. For three innings, he was almost untouchable. Then, like lightning out of a cloudless sky, he completely fell apart. Free pass after free pass set up, then exacerbated, a jam completely of his own creation.
