1 INTRODUCTION Maternal mental health in the early postpartum period are a global public health problem (Kimmel, 2020), with an estimated 12% of healthy mothers (without a history of depression) diagnosed with postpartum depression (PPD) and up to 70% of those with PPD having co-morbid anxiety (Bobo & Yawn, 2014; Hendrick et al., 2000; Nakić Radoš et al., 2018; Ross et al., 2003; Shorey et al., 2018), that is, postpartum depression with anxiety (PPD-A).
