    ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the formation of a Joint Task Force (JTF) to investigate and counter "a malicious campaign aimed at discrediting" Pakistan and its state institutions, especially security forces. The 10-member task force will be led by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) chairman. The decision comes in the wake of a series of terrorist and destructive activities, followed by a widespread smear campaign using local and international media platforms.

    RIYADH: Pakistan's ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's visit to the kingdom turned out to be successful during which he held meetings with Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and the investment minister. He said that during the PM's visit to KSA, as many as 34 MoUs worth $2.8 billion were signed and discussions were underway to give the contracts a concrete shape.
