In an absolute pitchers’ duel, Justin scored once in the third and again in the fifth. Braeden Butler scored both runs, on a single by Tommy Malloy in the third and on a wild pitch in the fifth.

    No. 2 Windsor 14, No. 3 Maria Carrillo 13In one of the wildest softball games of the season, Windsor (18-5) held off Maria Carrillo (14-10) late in Tuesday’s contest to advance to the North Bay League Oak division tournament championship game. Windsor was up 8-0 before Carrillo came storming back with 13 unanswered runs to lead 13-8 after the top of the sixth and final inning. The Jaguars then scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth to retake the lead for good.

    After three days of swimming and diving, the North Coast Section championships wrapped up Saturday with several local competitors doing well enough to advance to the state meet. It was an eventful three days, with local talent putting up stellar performances across the board as they looked to book their tickets to the CIF championships in Clovis this coming weekend. In total, seven North Bay athletes are heading to the state championships, with two of them doing so in multiple events.
