The UEFA European Under-21 Championship quarter-final between Portugal and the Netherlands had it all with two players that have very different associations to Chelsea involved. That knockout clash took place at the same time England and tournament favourites Spain were battling it out. Lee Carsley's side raced into a two-goal lead before the deficit was reduced from the penalty spot. The young Three Lions held firm and scored from 12 yards themselves to make it 3-1.

The Spanish duo are at different stages of completing moves, but both deals are expected to go through. For Zubimendi, the final details of his switch from Real Sociedad were resolved in the last 24 hours while the Gunners just need to activate the £5million release clause in Kepa's Chelsea contract.
