I think it’s pretty gross to wear thongs in the city, but this platform pair allows a little distance between your feet and the dirty sidewalk. Everlane’s crossover sandal rings in just under $100 and comes in several good shades. These cool suede studded sandals look like they could be Isabel Marant, but they’re actually Madewell. Quince’s leather platform has an appealing, minimal design and looks highly comfy. These Teva midforms are so bright and happy.

I have been wanting this silk caftan-ish dress from Block Shop since they introduced it months ago. The shape is flowy but not too oversized, and the color combination is aces. Should I go for it? I really dig the idea of a white blazer this time of year; so crisp and chic. But they do tend to stain easily, especially if you’re spill-prone as I am, so here’s a much cheaper one for your consideration.

This woodblock print by Hasui Kawase is giving me life this morning; click through to see more glorious examples. If you’re feeling cranky today, this beatboxing Brazilian nun might just cheer you right up. This piece, by the director of the new Pee wee Herman doc, is fascinating and poignant.

Somewhat unbelievably, we’re at the halfway point of 2025, which means it’s time to take a look at what the most of you have been buying, starting with AYR’s High Hopes pant, which is said (by many of you) to be quite magically flattering. A whole ton of you also went for The Parcel, from Cadence. It’s a cosmetic bag that opens wide at the top, making it ideal for tiny hotel bathrooms. These double knit pants are both easy and pretty cheap, so it’s no wonder so many of you bought them.
