I see Stevie Nicks is on tour again. That woman is 77 years old, and she is still beautiful and as good a performer as ever. Stevie is one of those who is hesitant to create any new material, because people just steal it from her; this is why she would rather perform than compose these days. Entities like Napster started it all, but YouTube and other social media outlets have open the doors to wholesale ripoff of proprietary material. The same is true for journalists.

My grandparents told us how tough they had it as kids. They walked to their one-room schoolhouses in the snow, barefoot, and uphill – both ways. Apparently they weren’t privy to the hazards faced by kids of my generation, the stories of which we told our own children, in tones just as ominous as those used by our grandparents.
