UPDATE! Los Angeles County public institutions will now prioritize plant-based food purchasing!This past February, Los Angeles County passed a first-of-its-kind policy to promote and increase the procurement of plant-based foods. The policy tasks, in part, the Department of Public Health with updating its nutrition standards for prepared foods, snacks, and beverages, which apply to county cafeterias, cafes, and concessions.

One of many ways we can judge the value of a community’s library system is to look at its foot traffic, circulation of materials and overall use of programs and services, among other metrics. In Tulsa County, that means more than 3 million visitors annually, total circulation well past 7 million items per year and well over 272,000 individuals attending programs last year.

Textron has shown off its refreshed T182 turbocharged model. In a news release from Sun ’n Fun Aerospace Expo 2024, the company said the T182—like the 172, 206 and T206—has received interior facelifts and the first deliveries of the aircraft have occurred. Production of the T182 was paused in 2013 and Textron announced its revival in 2022.
