The U.S. Army has awarded Collins Aerospace an $80 million contract to upgrade H-60M Black Hawk avionics, the company announced. The contract includes updating the twin-engine, medium-lift helicopters with the company's modular open systems approach (MOSA)-compliant products, Mosarc. The avionics upgrade streamlines future technology integration, "enabling soldiers to quickly update avionics technology in real time," the company said.

Eight decades after a Dutch Fokker D.VII Fighter was looted by Nazis, the World War I-era fighter biplane is set to return to the Netherlands, the National Military Museum (NMM) located there announced. The aircraft, which is currently in the possession of the Deutsches Museum in Munich, will be on display at the Dutch military museum located in Soesterberg, Netherlands, in September.

Sikorsky has unveiled its long-awaited S-92 Phase IV main gearbox with auxiliary oil lubrication for its twin-engine medium lift helicopter, parent company Lockheed Martin announced Tuesday. The manufacturer said it invested more than $100 million and more than a decade designing, testing, and optimizing the auxiliary lubrication system that automatically engages in the event of primary oil pressure loss.
