For Carlos Farfan, spending 24 hours with the Lord began at 3:30 a.m. on March 28 with morning prayer at his home. By 8 a.m., he arrived at St. Rose of Lima Church in Maywood, where he attended daily Mass and was first in line to receive the sacrament of reconciliation. After confession, Farfan stayed to pray for his family and planned to return with his wife later in the afternoon. “I feel so thankful to God for these moments,” he said.
