    A deal between Adani Airport Holdings Limited and Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) is in jeopardy after a petitioner moved to the High Court opposing the move. The petitioner in court documents dated July 25, argued that the move to upgrade the terminal was unconstitutional. In the petition filed at Milimani Law Courts, KAA, the National Treasury, the Public Private Partnership Unit and the Ministry of Transport were all listed as respondents.

    The Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs was on Tuesday forced to respond about the ownership of an industrial fishing vessel operating on Kenyan shores. Kenyans started raising concerns on Sunday, July 28, after Principal Secretary, of the State Department for the Blue Economy and Fisheries Betsy Njagi revealed that Kenya had flagged its first industrial fishing vessel.

    Nairobi suburb areas have experienced a dip in rental prices as well as house sale prices according to a report released by HassConsult on Tuesday, July 30. The areas hit most by rent decreases are Upper Hill and Muthaiga suburbs with HassConsult citing tough economic times for the negative growth. For 2024 Q2, Nairobi suburbs and satellite towns recorded only a 0.01 per cent increase in rent prices due to the declining number of people seeking to rent houses in suburban areas.

    The Kenyan Police over the weekend managed to chase away 400 members of the feared Mawozo gang who had taken control of Ganthier town in Haiti. According to reports released on Tuesday, July 30, the gang members started fleeing to nearby bushes and forests after the first armoured truck arrived in the rural town. It was a sigh of relief for most residents in Ganthier town who had lived in terror for years with most seeking shelter and protection at the Dominican Republic border.
