Back in the days of the original trilogy, Star Wars fans simply watched the films when they arrived in theaters or organized watch parties for the three films on VHS or laser disk. There wasn’t a question of chronological order. And sure, you could enjoy the animated Droids or Ewoks series, but they had no impact on the canon of the Galaxy far, far away. Nowadays, though, Star Wars TV shows don’t just present fun little snapshots into the adventures of characters like R2-D2 and C-3PO.
