    Co-op and Royal Mail have signed a partnership to roll out parcel lockers at the convenience retailer’s stores. The first ones will launch in summer, with plans for lockers at 100 stores. The lockers will allow people to drop off pre-labelled Royal Mail parcels and returns 24/7. Collection will also be available at the lockers soon.

    The Trading Standards team at the Bexley Council, supported by Metropolitan Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams, has secured four closure orders against shops in the borough found to be selling illicit tobacco, cigarettes, and vapes. Bromley Magistrates Court on 30 May granted the orders under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

    The East of England Co-op said it has found a purchaser for its Walberswick food store. Situated in the seaside village of Walberswick, the store, affectionately known as the Tuck Shop, was saved from closure by the East of England Co-op in July 2012. Now, the village store is set to be purchased by local residents. The new owners have brought in experienced local store managers Ben and Gaia Woolnough to oversee the day-to-day running of the store.
