Fragrance has had a great comeback story in the last few years — if you can call it that. For decades, celebrities have pumped out fragrances because it’s one category where they truly don’t have to be experts — nobody thinks Ariana Grande or Paris Hilton are expert noses, assisting the likes of Alberto Morillas or Jean-Claude Ellena in formulating a commercial perfume. It takes the pressure off when commodifying yourself.

And today, it was revealed that not only is Bieber’s brand Rhode going into Sephora this Fall (original news scooped by Rachel Strugatz at Puck, sans the timing details), but that she eats cinnamon roll French toast, reads the comments, struggles with her body image, and had a traumatic labor and delivery of baby Jack Blues Bieber.

In the run-up to the 97th Academy Awards, we saw Demi Moore in Schiaparelli, Cynthia Erivo in Givenchy, and Mikey Madison in Prada waltzing down the various carpets with all the charm we expect from our movie stars. The nominees’ roles were often overshadowed by the P.R. messaging from their contracted designers, jewelers, and makeup brands. For shame!Don’t worry. I’m not getting in the dramaturgical weeds.
