Dave Carey wird am 2. Juni 2025 die Position des Präsidenten und CEO der Canadian Coatings Association übernehmen. Die Entscheidung erfolgte nach einer umfassenden Suche auf Führungsebene. Er tritt die Nachfolge von Gary LeRoux an, der dem Verband 14 Jahre lang als CEO diente und sich nun entschieden hat, in den Ruhestand zu treten. LeRoux wird dem Vorstand und dem neuen CEO in den kommenden Monaten noch beratend zur Seite stehen, um einen reibungslosen Übergang zu gewährleisten.

Dave Carey takes over as President and CEO at the Canadian Coatings Association on 2 June 2025. The selection was made after an extensive executive search. He replaces Gary LeRoux who has served the Association’s membership as CEO for 14 years and who has decided to retire. He will continue to assist the Board and CEO with strategic advisory services for several months in transition to the new CEO.

Held in Nuremberg from 25 to 27 March, this year’s edition broke previous records in both exhibitor participation and global reach, underscoring the industry’s enduring resilience and its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and cross-border cooperation. 25,681 visitors came to Nuremberg, an increase of 4.4 % compared to the 2023 edition.

In this study, the curing parameters of the water-based coating were carefully optimized using waterborne alkyd resins as the matrix resin and totally methyl etherified amino resins as the crosslinking agent. Through an orthogonal experimental design and a controlled experiment, the optimal conditions, which were a 7:1 ratio of alkyd resins to amino resins and curing at 403.15 K for 30 min, were determined.

Outdoor murals are made of inorganic pigments or dyes blended with synthetic organic binders applied on inorganic substrates, mainly concrete, and are exposed to serious degradation due to light, temperature, and humidity fluctuations, pollutants, and biological agents that hinder their conservation.
