Dear Editor,Electric field (e-field) modeling is a computational approach using MRI scans and tissue composition to estimate current flow induced by transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial electrical stimulation (tES). A common outcome measure is the average e-field magnitude calculated using a geometrical (e.g., sphere) region of interest (ROI) in the gray matter layer, centered at a native or MNI coordinate [1].
