The U.S. tariffs have halted some production and delayed investment decisions, and their effect on Thailand’s exports will be seen in the second half of the year, Bank of Thailand Assistant Governor Sakkapop Panyanukul said.

BANGKOK, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Thailand's low inflation means there is room for an interest rate cut to boost economic growth and help weaken the baht <THB=TH> to support exports, the finance minister said on Monday, ahead of a scheduled review of rates this week.
Sixteen of 26 economists polled by Reuters predict the Bank of Thailand will leave the key rate unchanged at 2.25% on Wednesday.
