The evolution of noninteracting bosons in the presence of repeated projective measurements is studied. Following the established approach, this monitored evolution is characterized by the first detected return and the first detected transition probabilities. We show that these quantities are directly related to the entanglement entropy and the entanglement spectrum of a bipartite system.

1 INTRODUCTION One of the most fascinating observations in condensed matter physics is the pairing effect, leading to phenomena such as superconductivity and superfluidity. Although the pairing effect is of quantum nature, its theoretical description in terms of a macroscopic order parameter field is given by a mean-field (or Ginzburg-Landau) theory.

Zum Artikel „Wasser aus Plastikflaschen – ein Segen nur für Konzerne“ vom 21. März:Wieder einmal versucht der „MM“ seinen Lesern ein schlechtes Gewissen einzureden, indem er sich des Vehikels „Umweltschutz“ (hier: Müllproblem) bedient. Die Kunststoffflaschen sind zu allererst mal ein Segen für die Verbraucher, muss doch hier erheblich weniger Tara durch die Gegend gefahren und geschleppt werden als zum Beispiel im Vergleich zur Glasflasche.
