Okay, PCs in the title could be Political Correctness or Personal Computers or even Peace Corps. But it is not. It stands for Program Committees. As researchers, in academia or industry, we often are asked to serve on Program Committees of conferences in our fields of expertise. Serving on PCs signals one is a good citizen of our global technical village and has its own altruistic rewards.

Cybersecurity experts know the CIA Triad well: that’s the acronym for Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability, all of which are essential to data security. Organizations must keep data secret so not just anyone can see it; they must maintain its accuracy and reliability, and they must keep the information available to those who need it. Organizations ensure data confidentiality with access controls and encryption.

Computational thinking was first introduced by Papert (1980), and a quarter of a century later, was illuminated and elaborated by Wing (2006). In August 2022, the concept of computational thinking was revisited by Mike et al., this time from the data science perspective (Mike et al., 2022). A few months later, in November 2022, OpenAI launched ChatGPT, which was the first signal of a new storm—Generative AI, or GenAI—that has changed many domains of our lives since then.

Eight of the students were employed in the first (government) sector, specifically the tax authority, the State Comptroller and Ombudsman, the Ministry of Energy, and the health system.
