1. IntroductionLate-onset Alzheimer’s disease (AD), which develops in old age, interferes with daily life through cognitive decline in affected people aged ≥65 years. The pathophysiology of AD is a continuum, progressing from the preclinical phase, in which there are no clinical symptoms, to mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and impairment of daily life [1], and then to dementia.
