Caroline County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Keith Collison faces a second-degree assault charge from a domestic violence incident on Monday involving he and his former wife, according to court documents obtained by The Star Democrat. Court records allege that during an argument, Collison "positioned himself over top of her, face to face" on a bed. After attempting to "kick him off," she "choked Keith with two hands."He then head-butted her, "resulting in a bloodied nose," court records state.

EASTON — The Easton Town Council honored resident Roger Bollman on Monday for his many years of service to the town, including for his time on the Tree Board and Historic District Commission. Bollman recently announced his resignation from the Tree Board. He sat on the board for 17 years, during which more than 1,700 trees were planted. Mayor Megan Cook called Bollman a “dedicated servant” and presented him with a proclamation.
