    DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (Valley News Live) - Viewer footage captured the chase and arrest of one man in Detroit Lakes this week. The video shows the man in his vehicle around 5 p.m. Wednesday outside of the Lodge Hotel on East Shore Dr.Law enforcement officers appear to have him boxed in. He throws the car in reverse, ramming one of their vehicles and escapes. However, he goes over something that flattens his tires. He doesn’t get far, only to the Casey’s across the street.

    FERTILE, Minn. (Valley News Live) - As far as senior pranks go, this one is pretty good. Too good not to share. Students at Fertile-Beltrami hung “for sale” signs all over the building overnight. Apparently the community had a good laugh about it. Very creative. Wonder how much they wanted for it? Another part of the prank, maybe not as funny for the teachers, the kids camped out in their paid parking spots with campers, trailers, ice houses, etc.

    MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) - A false alarm Friday morning at the Moorhead Airport. First responders rushed out there after a cell phone fell off a plane and alerted them to a crash. Many cell phones have crash detection features. When a crash is detected the phone can automatically alert emergency services, share the user’s location and notify emergency contacts. “Most of the time it results in false calls for service,” Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow says.
