Crews responded to the crash just before 9 a.m. along I-29 near the Wahpeton exit. The driver was issued a distracted driving citation. Officials say he was taking off his sweatshirt when he drove off the shoulder and got stuck. No one was hurt and another bus came to pick the team up.

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - The former North Dakota lawmaker, sentenced to 10 years in prison for child sex abuse, will not appeal his sentence. Simpson Jr. was sentenced to 25 years in prison, after a shootout with law enforcement in March of 2024. GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A panhandler was arrested on Sunday in Grand Forks, accused of assaulting a grocery store employee. Terry Wilson, 32, is charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, obstructing a peace officer, criminal trespass, aggravated assault and menacing. Police were called to Hugo’s Family Marketplace on Demers Ave. on Sunday for a report of an assault. Court records state Wilson was panhandling outside when an employee asked him to leave.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - One person is hurt and another is facing charges after a rear-end crash in the northern valley over the weekend. It happened around 5 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 29, about two miles south of Gardner. Officials say a 33-year-old Grand Forks woman was northbound in a Chevrolet Equinox when she rear-ended a 76-year-old Grand Forks woman in a Nissan Rogue. The 76-year-old was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The 33-year-old was arrested for DUI.
