The Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the CP Vineet Goyal will handover the charge to the new CP after 4 pm on Tuesday. The minutes of the meeting were signed by Chief Secretary Manoj Panth on behalf of the government and junior doctors attending the meeting.

The junior doctors claimed a major victory of their protracted movement and they said that they would continue the cease-work and the movement till the administration fulfil the promised made at the meeting after 4 pm on Tuesday

CM Mamata Banerjee said that she agreed three of their four demands and asked junior doctors to join their hospital duty as lives are being lost and patients are being denied treatments

Along with the CP of Kolkata Police, the Director of Medical Education (DME) and Director of Health Services (DHS) and deputy commissioner of police (Central division) are also being removed, CM told the media after the meeting which ended at around 12 midnight.

Junior doctors claimed that they had agreed to have minutes of the meeting signed by both the sides, in honour of the chief minister. But doctors claimed that the junior health minister Chandrima Bhattacharya told them that it was too late for the meeting and they left CM's house

She also said, "Not all demands can be met. There will be a video recording of the meeting. With court permission, the video will be provided. Trust me, I will not mislead you."

"Forget politics. Come for the sake of the people and talk. We'll sign the minutes; one from our side and one from yours. Even if you don't want to talk or hold a meeting, at least come inside for tea," CM told the doctors.

CM Mamata Banerjee stated that the letter sent by the protesters did not mention anything about a live broadcast. She said, "If you weren't planning to enter the meeting, then why did you send a letter? You are disrespecting me. I've waited for three days before as well."
