    One of the most contentious issues in the recent debt ceiling negotiations was putting more work requirements into government benefits. In the final bill that President Biden signed into law, requirements for a slew of benefit programs ranging from cash welfare to food stamps were updated. Among the modifications was a rise in the maximum age range from 49 to 54.
