Since the premiere of Ted Lasso in 2020, Apple TV+ has built up quite a stable of successful comedies about, as a friend of mine describes them, “upbeat white men with problems.” The formula worked well for Shrinking, Platonic, Bad Monkey, and The Studio, but the streamer’s streak ends with Stick. The golf comedy, created by Jason Keller and starring Owen Wilson as a disgraced pro who discovers a teenage prodigy, is listless and uninspired despite its likable cast.

And based on the first look released today by Hulu, the Hill family — unlike most cartoon characters — has aged appropriately during that time. Premiering Aug. 4, the 10-episode new season picks up "several years after we last saw the Hill family," according to Hulu's announcement.

Goldie Hawn knows that good things come to those who wait... until they're out of high school. Speaking on May 29 during a screening of her 1974 film The Sugarland Express in Los Angeles, the 79-year-old Hawn looked back on raising her three kids — Kate Hudson, Oliver Hudson, and Wyatt Russell — in Hollywood. Though casting directors and agents expressed interest in working with Kate when she was still a teenager, Hawn recalls putting a stop to that.
