New buildings are going up across every district in the city, but residents along the small strip of Briny Avenue want the beachfront overdevelopment to stop. In response they created Save Briny, which blossomed into Save Pompano, an effort to curb the overdevelopment across the city.

In May of 2020, Oliver Burkhardt was just 9 when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Family and friends reached out right away, wanting to know what they could do to help. Prior to Oliver’s diagnosis, he enjoyed collecting things like pins and patches.

By: Kristen HernandezFort Lauderdale, FL – Sidney Holmes, 57, along with his closest loved ones, boarded a luxury ocean liner bound for the Caribbean. It was a gift from one of many organizations that’ve assisted Holmes since his March 13th release from a Fort Lauderdale prison, after he paid for someone else’s crime.
