Seeds, boxes of latex gloves and Pokémon cards are some of his other big sellers. Unlike Primo Deals, or similar bin stores, Colello’s prices do not change as the week goes on. Also, he doesn’t have set days he restocks merchandise. His store is more of a standard liquidation center where the prices pretty much remain consistent throughout the week and the restocks happen as the merchandise comes in.

CBS6 Albany morning anchor Olivia Jaquith went into labor while co-anchoring the morning news Wednesday. “This isn’t April Fools. Olivia’s water broke. In the newsroom,” said co-anchor Julia Dunn in a Facebook Live video. Within an hour, the video generated nearly 1,000 comments and more than 60,000 views. Article continues below this ad“I don’t know what’s going on. This is my first time. I’m new here,” said Jaquith, laughing. The tenacious journalist also ran a half marathon — while pregnant.

Laura Gemmett started as a photojournalist for CBS6 Albany in 2023. Earlier this year, she transitioned to reporting and joined the morning team alongside Julia Dunn and Olivia Jaquith. "I love going out into the community in the morning, reporting on important events and things that are happening in the area," said Gemmett, who is from Rotterdam and knows the Capital Region well. Growing up, her grandparents regularly had WRGB playing on television.

Liz Bishop is retiring after more than 50 years in local journalism. CBS6 Albany made the announcement Wednesday afternoon. Bishop’s journey at CBS6 began in 1973. She was attending the University at Albany and was hired as a weekend sportscaster. Few women worked in sports journalism at the time, especially on-air. Bishop proved herself as a “versatile and courageous journalist,” according to the announcement of her departure on CBS6 Albany’s website.
